change your view instead

You might be stuck in believing that things are this or that. When you realize that you see a thing this or that, As you find out that many different people see the same thing differently, then you understand that you have the power to change how you judge, see, look at your experiences. You know that depending on your seeing, your mental idea about a thing, your conviction, you will get a whole different emotional response. You want to feel good? Change your mind about the object of your experience.

The difficulty is that you might believe that your strong negative emotional response is a measurement of how negative the object of your experience is. But an object is not this or that, you see the object as this or that. When you paste the quality of your emotional response onto the object you are very convinced that the object of your experience is the source, the reason, of the emotion you are feeling. You are leaving out your own view in this story. The object of your experience in combination with your way of seeing it, is determining your emotional response. Your own perspective is the very thing you can always change. You do not need to try and change the objects of your experience, just go within, adjust your view instead, change your own mental concept you have wrapped around a thing.
