backwards
2016-07-15It is hard to recall many examples but many have entered my mind. It feels that in many cases, us humans, proceed with our lives based on certain understandings. Sometimes I feel things work out better for us if we flipped things around.
Enter a relationship not because of what you need or want but because of what you can give to another.
Not let the world keep defining your patterns and ultimately define a big part of what is you, but turn it around. Make yourself the source of change, hold on to your own values and to things you find that work for you or what you find are beautiful concepts, and then let it transform the world around you. Turn it around.
Stop attacking and directing your energy to the hierarchical systems in our society that you dislike in the hope to force it to stop the things you do not want it to continue. Bring change by letting it just be and focus on the change you would like to see. Do not think change will trickle down from the hierarchical tree downwards or at least not the change that serves you. Try thinking the change grows upwards, from within each individual upwards.
We got so many things backwards and I try to get my head around it why. Because it clearly brings tensions and negativity as it just does not work. Why do we have this way of thinking. Where did it come from? Could it be that the seed for it has been planted many many centuries ago. And that with one global basic but backwards understanding many other backwards understandings derived from it?
If so I my best guess would be that it came from the idea (ref. Ishmael Book) that we initially thought that the world belongs to man, instead of man belongs to the world. Or that we start to do more out of Love instead out of Fear?
